Self-Stimulation of the Prostate Can Be Good For Your Health

Did you know that prostate stimulation can be good for you? It is thought that regular stimulation of your prostate can help you to reduce your risk of getting adenocarcinoma, or the cancer of the prostate. The prostate is a gland that is found in men’s bodies but not women’s. It is a small gland in the male reproductive system, roughly the size of a large walnut. But it is a significant organ, responsible for the production of seminal fluid and the instigation of orgasm in males. The prostate gland is located just below the bladder at the base of the penis.

You can perform the stimulation of the prostate by yourself, without any help, although some people prefer to have a partner or health practitioner do it for them. It is your choice--it is not important who does the procedure, only that it is done correctly so that you do not risk damage, bacterial infection, or disease transmission. You can do the procedure by hand, or use a special implement such as a prostate massager.

The most common method of prostate stimulation is called milking the prostate. Sometimes this method is referred to as prostate massage. Here is how to perform this type of self stimulation: Put on a latex glove and dab a little water-based lube on the fingertips, then insert your middle fingers into your anus and move them upwards, roughly in the direction of your navel. You will feel a small, round bulb--that is the prostate gland. Massage it gently by rubbing your fingers back and forth against sides of the gland. It is better not to rub vigorously on the middle section of the gland, as that is where sensitive nerves are located. The effect of the massage is to stimulate an orgasm and induce an ejaculation of seminal fluid, although this not happen on every occasion.

Another way to stimulate the prostate by yourself is with the use of an instrument called a prostate massager. It is a device that is usually shaped like a finger, and designed to be inserted through the anus. Before using the device, you are recommended to apply a little water-based lubricant in your rectal region. The prostate massager is then inserted into the anus until it lightly touches the prostate gland. Then it can be used to perform a light to medium massage using a rubbing or circular motion. It should not be thrust forwards and backwards as that may risk some damage to your prostate and rectal region.

Note that there are some risks to prostate stimulation. Men who have a disease of the prostate or acute prostatitis are strongly advised not to perform it. Consult your doctor before attempting self stimulation of the prostate.
