Milking the Prostate and Other Ways to Help Prevent Prostate CancerProstate cancer is a disease that affects only males. It is a disease of the prostrate gland, which is located in the male reproductive tract, and is not found in the female body. Prostate cancer is a very serious disease among men who are in their fifties or older. In the United States it is one of the leading causes of cancerous death in males, second only to skin cancer, according to the US National Cancer Institute. Unfortunately, prostate cancer often goes undiagnosed in its early stages, because it usually does not show symptoms in those who contract it. That means many males who have the disease do not get any therapeutic care for it, and later die from its causes. Milking the Prostate: Also referred to as prostate massage, this is a technique of stimulating the prostate gland by hand or implement, and causing it to ejaculate seminal fluid. This method is not recommended for cases in which the prostate is already diseased or has acute prostatitis, because a massage could cause the disease or infection to spread to other areas of the body. If you want to milk the prostate by yourself or with a partner, here’s what to do: Put on a latex glove with a little water-based lube, insert the middle fingers into the anus, and feel upwards in the direction of your navel, until your finger is touching the prostate gland. It can be felt as a small, round bulb of tissue roughly the size of a walnut. Once it is in your reach, gently massage the prostate gland by gently rubbing back and forth against either side of it, taking care not to rub vigorously on the sensitive middle region where nerves are located. After a few minutes this massage may bring about an ejaculation of seminal fluid, along with sexual stimulation or orgasm. However, ejaculation will not occur every time. Dietary Intake: Having the proper diet is one recommended way of preventing or reducing the risk of prostate cancer. Health professionals consider men who consume a lot of red meat and high fat foods at major risk of developing prostate cancer. They recommend a regular diet that is low in fat, rich in fiber, and rich in fruits and vegetables containing lycopene. Lycopene can be found in tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato juice, pink grapefruit, papaya, and watermelon. Eating more soy protein is also helpful. Alternative Treatments: Herbal treatments, acupuncture, and vitamin intake are other possible therapies to explore in seeking to prevent prostate cancer. To Be Continued Click Here To Continue
